GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
Under limited supervision, perform skilled duties in the installation and repair of pipes, conduits, meters, hydrants and fittings in the water distribution system. This may require entry into confined spaces. Assist in making of all size taps, types of joints, and in repairing all types of broken mains, valves, meters, lines, and hydrants.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Installs water meters, service piping, valves and components associated with the water distribution system
- Removes and/or replaces dirt, water, materials and/or debris from the work site
- Loads and unloads equipment and materials from vehicles at work sites
- Operates compaction equipment, pumps, boring equipment, concrete saws and jack hammers
- Measures and Cuts pipe according to MFG recommendations and specifications
- Reads, removes, replaces, repairs and calibrates water meters
- Handles and mixes bags of cement, and maneuvers in a wheelbarrow
- Perform routine tasks with hand tools, (shovels, rakes, wrenches, trowels, etc.)
- Performs Light maintenance of tools and equipment
- Responds to public inquiries and investigates public complaints associated with the water distribution system
- Performs PM inspections, general maintenance and repair of valves, fire hydrants water mains, bow offs and sampling connections
- Performs flow test and records data
- Subject to 24 hour on call status
- Efficiently operates utility vehicles, Mini excavators, front end loaders and related equipment
- Complies with and maintains all safety procedures according to BCWS and OSHA standards at all job sites
- Routinely makes taps on pipes
- Ability to perform field water quality test

- Requires a Class C Water Distribution License

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
Under general supervision, this position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of vehicles and heavy equipment. This position involves disassembly and repair of gasoline and diesel engines including all associated repair and rebuilding. This position also involves the repair of various specialized hydraulic equipment, minor welding required for structural repairs, minor steel layout and fabrication, as well as routine preventive maintenance and record keeping.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Disassembles of diesel and gasoline engines as necessary to inspect, repair, rebuild or replace any or all parts
- Repairs clutches, transmissions, differentials, compressors, pumps, filter units, blowers, generators, governors, reduction gears, hydraulic systems, braking and steering systems, cooling and electrical systems
- Repairs various specialized mechanical and hydraulic equipment, such as crawler tracks and drives, winches, backhoes, long arm hydraulic mowers, garbage compactors, scrapers, bull dozers, dump trucks, and other equipment
- Removes and install gas and diesel engines in vehicles/heavy equipment
- Performs minor structural repairs using electric acetylene welding equipment
- Performs routine preventive maintenance, keeping accurate records of tasks performed

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
Under general supervision performs routine duties assisting in the maintenance of buildings, grounds, and equipment for daily operation of The Solid Waste Management Facility. This individual will be responsible for performing the duties of Convenience Center Operator when that person is on vacation or sick leave and must be able to perform with limited or no supervision. This position reports to the Solid Waste Crew Coordinator in all assigned tasks, and requires a rotating shift to include weekends, Sundays, and Holidays.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists in performing scheduled preventative maintenance of equipment
- Utilizes hand tools such as shovels, rakes, brooms, cutting/trimming equipment, and light mechanical tools

This position is responsible for landfill operations, site preparation, land preservation and drainage control for new and undeveloped landfill areas. - Operates equipment such as front-end loader, articulating dump truck, excavator, compactor, bulldozer, scraper and motorized pan to spread, pack and cover refuse and debris and other related tasks
- Constructs and prepares new and undeveloped areas for future landfill sites including grading, seeding and policing the site for erosion control and beautification purposes

- Installs drainage pipes at new and completed sites to insure proper drainage
